Abstract
This survey was purposed to provide some information of recognition and health insurance coverage of endodontic treatments with questionaire which was consist of 29 items in 1986, and analyzed of 1,300 patients who had dental problems and of
1,500
private practitioners in Korea.
@ES The results were as follow:
@EN 1. Patient's recognition for endodontic treatment:
Most of patients didn't have an accurate information of endodontic treaments. On the other hand, they recognized the importance of their own teeth(85.0%), and patients were followed dentist's recommandation and took a treatment(85.2%).
2. Dentist's recognition for endodontic treatments:
Most dentists understood the importance of endodontic treatments(85.7%), however they considered endodontic treatments were considerbly troublesome, and their abilities were not enough to treat confidently(79.9%)
3. Most of dentists complainted to relatively low insurance cost in spite of difficulties of endodontic treatments(91.6%), and if the cost of endodontic treatment will be up reasonably then, they seemed to agree with active performances and
suggestions
for patients(73.1%).
